Meet Dr. Corina Radu
Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics
Corina was born in Romania, where she completed dental school before coming to America at the age of 26. She won a green card diversity visa lottery in 1994 and with it, the right to legally emigrate to the U.S.
She earned her American DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1999. After undergoing orthodontic 
treatment herself as a dental student, with metal self-ligating brackets, was fascinated with the changes of her smile and decided to specialize in Orthodontics. Two years later, she completed her postgraduate program in Orthodontics at Children's National Medical Center Hospital affiliated with George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with emphasis on clinical and surgical orthodontics and treatment of craniofacial patients. One of her first adult patients, this time in clear braces, was her husband, who underwent a two-year
 comprehensive orthodontic treatment for anterior crossbite and crowding.
Dr. Radu's professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and Illinois Society of Orthodontists. She is a board certified orthodontist, and a Certified Provider for Invisalign® (invisible aligners). She attends numerous orthodontic education courses, and her practice is limited to Orthodontics exclusively. She is committed to providing outstanding service to her patients, always incorporating new and refining techniques, and raising the quality of customer service.
 Along with her spouse, Cristian, a physician, she enjoys raising their three children, Julia, John, and Alex, in suburban Elmhurst where they currently reside. Family hobbies include trips to the library to select good books and movies for a rainy day, international travel, vacations, camping and hiking in the wilderness, and do-it-yourself house remodeling projects.
